Rule Amendments

Note: Paragraph numbers in brackets [ ] refer to that rule number in David Cook's Rules.

  1. All contestants must be students in good standing at any ITT Technical Institute campus site. ITT Staff or Faculty may compete, but are not eligible for any trophies or certificates.
  2. [4.2] Robot Qualifying: This section amplifies rule "4.2 Testing".
Robots will be required to perform two qualifying events prior to the Sumo Contest. All robots will be participating in the Sumo Event. These events are used to seed contestants properly and to give contestants a chance to demonstrate other skills.
  3. Note that for each of these events, it may be best if a separate program with different behaviors be used for each event. This is allowed and encouraged.

  4. [4.3] There will be no entry fee, however entrants must register before midnight, 10 August, 2008 to be eligible for trophies or certificates. Unregistered robots may compete, but will not be counted in scores.
  5. Register by following the instructions below.
  6. [7.A1.] The "International" Ring size will be used.
